PSB T55 vs En C-500's vs Axiom 60's?

PSB T55 vs Energy C-500's vs Axiom 60's?

Hi I'm planing to buy a home theater with one of these choices as my main speakers which one is the best bang for the buck( yes I know it will be my personal taste,but still getting some feed back is useful). Also what speakers for the surrounds would be good. I'm using a Pioneer Elite TX-53. Thanks for the help.

I have only heard teh Energy C-500s, but I can't remember what they sound like.

Personally, I'd take the T55s just from what I've heard.

I can't speak for the rest but the PSB T65's I heard sounded beautiful. I would've bought them if I didn't find such a good deal on my Monitor Audio's.

I too am looking at the psb image t55 but have not heard them yet . I have however heard the energy rc50-70(SWEET ), so I'd like to see your opinion on the c500. In my opinion the rc line is above them, so I would like to see how they faired aganist the psb image t55, now that would be interesting!

I Listened to the PSB T-55 and the C-500 and in my opinoin the T55 were totally above the C-500's even factoring the price difference, will maybe wait until the new Mirage omi line is out soon , but as of right now I'm getting the T-55's, C-60, S50's,5i subwoofer,Denon 2807 or the Pioneer Elite TX-82

I'd look at an Hsu sub in place of the PSB.

I would have too agree the psb image t55 & t65 line is more in line with the energy rc 50-70 . Well after I get my sub(sooner or later) then I'll go speaker shopping.

The PSB Image sound I would characterize as being warmish compared to that of the Axioms. Both Axioms and teh PSBs are very revealing speakers but I found the the Image series to be subtle in revealing their detail like a soft whisper. You have to listen for it. The Axioms are more like "here I am like it or not" Both are awesome with mids but the bass on the T55 is tighter and more authorative than the Axiom T60. I can't comment on the Enery line as I've not heard them.

Its a matter of personal taste. I own teh Image T45s and unless I win the lottery, I do not feel the need to upgrade. I love the PSB sound and my entire system is built around the Image series.

Mirage's New Omni Line

Hi I was going to buy the Psb-T55's etc, however just looked at Mirage's New Omni Line they look quite interesting will look at them as soon as they are in the stores. Again thanks for all your guys advice.

Stereoguy since your budget is in that ballpark go listen to the energy rc 50-70. Nothing to lose, same family as the mirage speakers
