Is there any way to copy a DTS CD or the files from my mac/pc which are simply uncompressed wav files to the hard drive on the PS3?
I can Play the disc on the PS3 but not copy it to the HDD and retain the format . The reason i'm asking is because i have been using a program called mkv2vob to encode HD movies (.mkv) in a format the PS3 recognizes and it saves them as a file with .mpg extension but retains the DTS or DD5.1 audio. When i select it from my media server software (Google Media Server) i can then either stream it or PRESS TRIANGLE and have the option to copy to the HDD. With audio cd's it only gives the .aac, .mp3 and atrac options for copying.
Maybe there is a way to fool the PS3 into processing it as a Video file rather than a Audio CD?
