I'm moving into a house and using the wee den as my "entertainment room" It's about 16' x 8' (I know, it's small...stop laughing, I work in radio!)

I'm eventually gonna steal...er...purchase a new TV. I also desperately need a new receiver (using a Yamaha RX-V1080) I also plan to use my Boston Acoustics VR975s for the fronts.

I can use the sub out option on the 975s, so I think I can skip a subwoofer...but I'm still seeking advice on 1) a centre channel 2) surround units.

The hitch is, I have to mount the surrounds on the back wall, not on the sides cuz of a sliding patio door!

Any advice...do's/don'ts.

Many Thanks!

I could see you having problems with your receiver if it doesn't exist, did a search and found nothing on it.:)

Geez, that's rough, Seth! So maybe he 1) typed the model # wrong or 2) it was produced for a retailer- when a big company does a run for a certain dept store you don't always find it by searching.

I wasn't being harsh, just poking. I will add a smiley to make it the way I intended it.

Sorry for any mis-understanding.

I came up with no results in search, and also no results on Orion, which should include all HTIABs, but I don't recall any RX-V that was part of a HTIAB.

I'm gapped...

DOH!! Seth is correct. It's an RX-V 1070, not 1080 (been doing too much reading about TV resolution. Sorry.

The center should probably be kept in the Boston family. You might try no center first in that room. What's the budget look like?

Not sure...budget will be dictated by the equip. I think! I'd like to find a VR920 centre. The rears I have no clue...stick with Boston maybe?
