projectors on ebay can someone give me advice please

hi guys


im thinking of buying one of theses projectors off ebay can someone give me advice i dont wanna spend thousands all i waan do is watch a view movies and play me xbox on a projector and i have checked the feed back od theses and people seem happy and the bulbs to replace are only 35 pound thanks for any advice given item number on ebay is 260144785809

There are a fair number of reviews for this type of projector and the bottom line is that it doesn't really qualify in the world of 'quality'. It is what it is, which basically means that it seems to be barely more than a 'toy'. Does it work? Yes. Does it put an image up on screen? Yes. Will you be happy with it? Depends on you, but generally those who have seen a real projector and these models tend to say 'No'.

You can find a brand new HD projector for $1000. A real 720p HD projector capable of delivering a true 100" diagonal image with top shelf quality for that money. One that includes HDMI inputs, which all projectors really must have these days, as well as a good lens, with zoom, and a contrast ratio that is typically 2,000:1 or greater.

I would steer clear personally.

Wow, a bulb that weighs 35 pounds. I'm sure that thing will never go out.

Gee, if I didn't know better (and I usually don't), I'd say this seems like somebody trying to advertise their Ebay items on our forum with all these threads started about this item

Otherwise, no I wouldn't buy a projector off Ebay. There's a little thing known as a "warranty" that I'd be worried about. A sale through a factory authorized dealer will pretty much guarantee the warranty will be honored.

I have an epson powerlite10+ that I have a little over a year and I really like it alot and I use it to play all my ps3 games and watch hd sat and dvds ,
Now I am saving up for an hd projector and I am willing to let it got cheap if you want just pm me and we can iron out the details.
But ebay is hit and miss so you need to be careful what and who you deal with because many claim to have good products and many times its not.
