I want to build a project for the winter but I want to find out what is a good mid-range speaker to put with the Dayton Audio PA380-8 15" https://www.parts-express.com/dayton-audio-pa380-8-15-pro-woofer--295-034 i'm still kinda learning somewhat since it's a pro woofer I know people like to use horn tweeters but I don't want to use those since this will be for home use only. I want a good smooth tweeter sound even if I ever happen to play it loud I don't want to be getting screamed at by the tweeter like a PA speaker system would. As far as I know the db sensitivity needs to be close to match and if I need to I will also put a L-Pad Attenuator in for everything if I need to. I tend to see a lot of 3 way speakers that have a 12" or a 15" woofer uses a 6.5" midrange speaker in it and normally uses a 1" - 1.35" tweeter I think is what I have seen on some.

The compression driver (Denovo DNA-360) tweeter that My Tempests use with a waveguide is smooth as silk. It's matched with a 12" Eminence Delta Pro 12A woofer and it's what I would classify as. . . .ridiculously powerful, yet sweet at the same time. Horns and CDs have come a long way.
