Pre

Pre ‘91 Webster’s Dictionary
Do you have any link? Or am I supposed to take your word for it that you just happened to have 33+ year old dictionary lying around as evidence? Hint: not with your posting history.

Besides, you wrote “now” in the post I replied to so let’s see what Webster says:

>>>1 often capitalized : a political philosophy, movement, or regime (such as that of the Fascisti) that exalts nation and often race above the individual and that stands for a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, severe economic and social regimentation, and forcible suppression of opposition

2 tendency toward or actual exercise of strong autocratic or dictatorial control <<<

So it seems you lied about your reference as well

Seriously, I have no life.
"While socialism and conservatism may sit adjacent to each side of the political spectrum..."
Uh, wut? How are they adjacent to each side, or did you mean on their respective sides, being opposite each other?

I'm asking as someone who lives near the last major US city with a Socialist Mayor and having heard Frank P Zeidler speak. The hangover is still strong here.

FWIW- the definition of Socialism is far from what most people believe but it's not dead, it just morphs, like the Dems and GOP.

So, a fascist is both an autocrat and a dictator. Putin comes to mind and maybe a few others?
Oh, and a few wanna bees here. Interesting.

Yeah...I don't think I phrased that clearly. I mean they reside on opposite sides of the centre of the political spectrum. Of course, in practice, it isn't easy to delineate the two, as in liberal democracies we generally see elements of socialism and conservatism in practice simultaneously.

Agree or not, looks it will be a more conservative US in the future. Although the humor is it's Trump heading it. Not exactly a wholesome individual LOL.

I have it time stamped. This one says taking vouchers and giving to the rich for expensive private schools. I'm guessing it's aim is to drain public school funding since they want this nationalized. Basically it's get our guy who is an authoritarian to implement this for our Christian nationalist agenda. I think it's why PragerU is trying to be further reaching. One thing I agree with is getting sexual identity out of schools. That's not the teachers job, but Project also protects religious business "rights" which I assume means discriminating against certain types. Same goes for private religious schools. As the one guy said in another video, it basically takes the LBGTQ community and throw them by the wayside. Vance might have been picked for his religious beliefs. Though I'm more inclined to think he said nice things about Trump LOL.

If Trump loses, Pence would be in the wings for the Christian nationalist agenda. He's kept outta the public eye for quite a while now and could rebound as a potential candidate.

There's a video of Trump saying, Some of these ideas are extreme. I can get on board with reducing gov't bloat, but I think the intent is to eliminate civil service workers and replace them with loyalists. Given Trump is a huge narcissist, it begs, if laws go through the powers of the president, how they would approach Trump in getting many of their ideas through? I felt like Vance said the right things, and because he's deeply religious I've wondered did Trump consciously pick him because of his religious background? Or did he just pick the guy who stroked his ego? Also PAC is paying for a lot of Trump's legal bills. That didn't surprise me. So it begs how much he even cares about what's in the book. He seems to have some idea, but I mean I think immunity is his biggest concern. It's irrelevant to them if Trump is personally religious. He's an authoritarian who can get the job done. So unlike his first term, they're more organized and trying to stack the admin with conservatives. Whether or not Trump really cares about what's in the details might come down to his narcissism.

What a crock this thing is and a perversion of the term "conservative". Any defenses from our resident drumph/maga/republican fans?
The current "conservatives" in the USA are actually not conservative at all, but reactionary...
