Problems new Denon X2200W and Sony Blu Ray S5500

I have just installed my new Denon AVR and finally got everything to work fine with one exception!
I have a strange issue with my Sony Blu Ray BDP-S5500.
It is connected on HDMI input 3 of my Denon AVR, in Blu Ray input. All other sources work fine (sat, Apple TV, ...) but for this input, I can't see the menu of the Blu Ray player.

Here is what I see on the screen (see link). Black screen with grey/snow box in the middle and 2880x1080/60Hz resolution
And this is even before I turn the Blu Ray player on.
Interestingly enough, if I load a disk and play it, it works!!!
I have tried another HDMI cable but same issue. Although it was same brand but different type.
I have connected the Blu Ray directly to the TV and it worked!
and it also used to work on my previous Marantz receiver.

I am running out of ideas so all suggestions are welcome!

Thanks in advance

For those of you who may face a similar issue, here is what someone suggested on another forum and it worked! It looks like a firmware issue on either the Denon AVR or Sony Blu Ray.
Until it is fixed, here is what you can do:

The BDP-S5500 does not include 4K upscaling, so it seems that something is causing the receiver to try to do that.

Settings to change in the player:
1. enable "Original Resolution" in the Sony player (not the default. Turn it on permanently)
2. disable "Deep Color" in the Sony player (not the default. Turn it Off permanently)
3. set YCbCr/RGB to YCbCr (4:2:2) (not the default. Turn it on permanently)

Settings to try in the receiver [Optional - not upscaling with my receiver but using new TV for that]
1. disable the i/p scaler in the Denon receiver. If that doesn't help...
2. enable the i/p scaler in the Denon receiver. Set the Resolution to 1080p
