Has anyone had a problem with their Denon 3910 over heating which causes skips in music and dvds to skip and pixelate during playback? Just looking for recommendations on how to fix this and also want to know if I'm not alone. I have placed a fan behind it and moved it to a more ventalated area. I've never had a problem like this with my 2910 or any other DVD player I've owned. It seems to get hot enough to have problems after only 2 hours witht the power on.

I've had a 3910 for about 11 months and have had no overheating problems. Do you have it located near radiators? Is the player in an enclosed cabinet w/o space around it? If you still have problems, you might have to file a warranty claim.

no, it's not located near a radiator. it was in a place that didn't have much space around it, but I moved it since then. We'll see how this works. Hopefully it will. Anyone else out there with a 3910?

You'll need a minimum of 3" (75mm) on all sides of the unit for ventilation, including at the back. The Denon manual recommends 4" (100mm) all round.

Yeah. I saw that in the manual. I put the 3910 in the same place that I had my 2910 and my 2910 NEVER gave me problems. The first day I have the 3910 it overheats. Still wondering if anyone else has similar issues.

Since I moved it, there hasn't been any problems with the unit overheating. I guess I just had it too close to the cabinet. Thanks to those who responded. BTW the 3910 is great! This is the best DVD player I've seen and heard. Images are smooth and film-like and music is strong and clear.
