Problem with DD-15 sub and Denon 3805

I've never had a sub installed with my 3805 yet - now I have one, I'm having problems getting Denon's setup configured correctly. I've run Denon's auto speaker setup and it recognizes the sub is there. Also, Velodyne's auto-sweeps seem to play ok when stand-alone. But when I try to run the full calibration through the receiver, or to play music, I get mainly line noise and barely audible bass from the sub. What am I missing? Is it cross-over-related? Any clues appreciated.

Make sure your connections are correct('EQ Output L/R' directly below the video output should be connected to the 3805 input(this is for the eq sweep tone), and that the 3805 is on the right source(if you're using a source that has a digital connection already in place, make sure you select the 'input mode' to 'analogue'). Try setting your fronts to small and crossover to 80Hz as a starting point.

Have another read through the manual(also the receivers) to familiarize yourself with the setup and calibration steps

I'm not a huge fan of Denon's auto setup. Any background noise affects the outcome - even a hum from the refridgerator. I'd reset the Denon's processor, and manually set the distances of your speakers, then cross it over at 80Hz, all speakers set to small, then see what the DD15 is doing.
