Pro Audio vs Home Theater

The thing about speakers is that no matter what a review says or what someone's opinion on them is you will never know if they are right for you until you get them into your listening room and try them out with your equipment. Auditioning them at a store is a good way to get an idea, but not completely.

I've heard all the brands you can get at work (somebody works at best buy;)) and most of the models and I can say no brand really stands out to me. Certain models do, but that is subjective. I really like the way the B&W speakers sound, also Polk has been a favorite for a long time. Klipsch is a great brand, but some of the lower end models sound horrible to my ears (lower end horns are harsh to me).

Maybe you should try some of the internet direct brands that have the 30 day trials? The thing about the way you have to use your discount at work means you may have trouble returning them if you don't like them (I could be completely wrong, but when I got the same discount you had to buy directly from the manufacturer).

Haha, you are right xD
But yes, i enjoy that whole 30day trial thing..its just shipping them back thats a hassle for me..and paying for shipping too.. (unless i dont have to pay)
im interested in the jbl pro cinema but im thinking that they cost more than hell...the SHO12 look like solid speakers..but i.need them to be better all around than my klipches..whi,h i dont know if they would. But i might try them. They seem like the type of companies that charge money for the product..not the name or look...which i like

I'm having dejavu and i feel I said this earlier in this thread so I apologize, but I would suggest looking at Audiokinesis, Gedlee, Danley, and Pi Speakers.

The Yorkville Unity line uses Danley's horn technology, I believe at a more economical price. A seller on Amazon has the U15's for $1,319.00 ea. There's a company here in Austin that rents equipment and they've had former rentals for sale for ~ $800 if I recall correctly.

And he has Klipsh:eek: Those are usually very sensitive speakers?
DenPureSound had Klipsch RF83 and he complained the Denon 4311 wasn't enough. I later found out the speaker channel level was set way below 0.0 in his Denon.

So, Impulse, increase the speaker channel level to +6.0 or +8.0 on your AVR and see how they sound. Oh, and turn off Audyssey and all EQ. :D

I'm thinking the only thing the OP needs is a Funk 18.0 sub and do the above.
