I figured I needed to come out of hiding to ask a question.
I am tasked with putting together a four speaker stereo AV system for a small town community center. I have everything lined out except for some sort of preamp. I am just a little out of my league here, to be honest; and I don't have a lot of time to do research on this because I am way behind on my real research

.
I really need to keep the costs down. I have specified four
Behringer speakers, 2
EP2000 amps, and a projector and screen for Powerpoint stuff.
Originally I was going to just use a
cheap mixer as the preamp and find a couple TRS y-cables to go to the two amps. Is this okay? Honestly, for ease of setup I would like to have more than one RCA input (and maybe outputs to two sets of stereo speakers?), so the little mixer isn't ideal from that perspective. I couldn't seem to find professional stereo preamps, but perhaps I just don't know what I am looking for. Maybe the little mixer
is the way to go considering the cost. Can someone help me out?
Thanks!
