I just saw the trailer and it actually looks pretty good. Basic story is a bunch of assorted bad-a$$es from Earth get relocated to a game reserve like planet to be hunted by Predators. It's got a decent cast, Danny Trejo,* Adrien Brody, Topher Grace, Alice Bragga, & Lawrence Fishburne. I've never heard of the director and I'm not sure if it's a real name, Nimrod Antal, but Robert Rodriguez is one of the producers. I might actually have to see this one in a theater when it comes out.

Predators Trailer

*Looks like Machete is finally in production with a pretty good cast too.

Thanks.:D
That looks interesting. May have to see it or wait for the BD as it looks like too many pee stops in it.;):D

I'm kind of nervouse about this pic. There's been very little advertising and its coming out in a couple of months. Usually a bad sign.

I generally tend to like things Robert Rodriguez puts out, that coupled with a cast I also generally like make me think it'll be worth seeing and nothing like the turd that last one turned out to be. Seems to me these kinds of movies get promoted closer to the release date, so I'm not too worried at this point about not hearing much. I really think it's gonna be good.

Cheers,

I loved Planet Terror, perhaps Rodriquez will make something decent with this. Then again, I am also for ending movie franchises, like infinite amounts of Halloween, Alien, Species, Star Trek, Predator, and Vs. movies.

I don't want to end something just for the sake of ending or start something just for the sake of starting. Purpose is a good thing.:D

Why end something that is GOOD?

Let the good times roll!!!:D

ALIEN, PREDATOR, UNDERWORLD, STAR TREK, X-MEN & all MARVEL, etc. ---- Keep it coming!!!:D

Some franchises have turned out decent to excellent sequels along the way. That includes Aliens, AVP, Wrath of Khan, Star Trek, Rocky II, First Blood part II, Spiderman II, the Road Warrior, Star Wars (eps V, VI, III), the Indiana Jones movies, Terminator 2, etc. The list is much longer and those were just what popped into my head.

What needs to end with movie franchises, IMO, is the all to prevalent making of a sequel just to try to make a quick buck off the name. Unfortunately that list is likely to be hundreds of times longer than the list of good sequels.

It's about time we take the fight to their planet for a change and see how they like it :)

Is it their planet? Or neutral territory off world?
Sure looks like the 7 humans are out numbered right from the start:eek:

yup, the only time the hunt would be fair is if the predators identified themselves, showed them what they could do, before letting them go armed.

otherwise, the predators are just bullies.

i do like the concept of the predators though, but it does get kinda old ... super high tech predators vs. humans that don't know what is going on.

I really liked the first Predator, with the two future Governers in it, but as soon as they put Gary Busey in a sequel, you know they're scraping the bottom of the barrel.

Of course, that's just my opinion...I could be wrong;)

Hunting isn't supposed to be fair. I'm fairly certain a human with a rifle and scope doesn't walk up to a dear to say here I am; you sneak up on your prey. The predators cast humans in the same light as the dear; in other words, a lower life form

It wasn't Busey who ruined that movie it was that POS Glover. So yes, your wrong:p
