Power On, Power Off, Miyagi-son?

I apologize if this has been covered, but searches did not find my answer.

I have a Rotel RB985 mkII 5 channel amp. Should I power it off after listening, or should it stay on forever?

Am I mis-applying the PC-electronics advice to leave equipment on to avoid power surge and switch failure?

Yes, you are too cautious about power on, power off

Not to worry. It is a brute to wear out that power switch.

PC electronics are left on for other reasons. I turn mine off after each use
