I apologize if this has been covered, but searches did not find my answer.

I have a Rotel RB985 mkII 5 channel amp. Should I power it off after listening, or should it stay on forever?

Am I mis-applying the PC-electronics advice to leave equipment on to avoid power surge and switch failure?

Thanks to all Karate Kid fans out there that want to weigh in on this.

Yes, you are too cautious about power on, power off ;)

Not to worry. It is a brute to wear out that power switch.

PC electronics are left on for other reasons. I turn mine off after each use
