Just curious do you guys leave your powered subs on all the time or do you turn them off when not in use?

Mine turns on and off via a 12v trigger.

I used to leave mine in standby mode, but after the recent 'sub catching fire' thread, I now flip off the power when not in use.

Auto(2) On(1)

I leave in auto on SVS and Def Tech subs.

I have to leave the Klipsch "on" because he is so old that his "auto" doesn't always work. And mr. Klipsch is still pissed about being moved to the garage system but he is working through it :D

.

Mine is auto on but I also have it on a timed turn on via a MonsterPower HTS2500.

I leave my Hsu 3.3 "on" all the time even though it has an "auto" on mode. The reason why I don't use "auto" mode on it is because it is not very sensitive and likes to stay in sleep mode.
Hsu says that it is fine to just leave it on all the time.

thanks for the replys. I ask because my week old Klipsch RSW10 just died. worked one day the next nothing. Fuse was blown, and i mean really blown. Totally blacked out. Then started blowing fuses the instance i changed them.

No worry though dealer took it back no questions and gave me his floor model till a new one comes in.

I had left it on all the time and was wondering was that a no no.

My SVS has auto on/off. My PSB doesn't seem to have this feature and I turn it off when not in use (when I can remember to do so). I used to have the power plugged into the switched outlet of my h/k receiver, but I don't really think that plug is meant for something power hungry like a sub.

I use the Auto feature as well, but when I am watching a movie on cable tv, I will have to sometimes turn it on manually since the bass signal getting sent apparently isn't enought to turn it on.
