Just seup my new prepro Onkyo Pro PR-SC885P. Reon HQV scaler, TruHD, Master HD decoding, XLR ouputs, 3 zones, Audyssey MultEQ XT and THX Ultra2 certified. Amazed at how different is sounds than my Pioneer Elite 72txv. Waited almost 2 months for it and overall I like it.

Also picked up an Onkyo M-282 amp for my zone 2 audio. Just 100 bucks from audiogon.

Nice! I was eying up the z2000 eariler today. My 2 z-4's will have to do for a bit though.

My last purchase: The Tosh HD-A2 that so many others bought as well.

Two z4's? You have my Sony vpl beat by about six years g! Doesn't the Sanyo make you drool? 1024p, phenomenal upconversion for sdvd's, fairly bright and good contrast. Only one hdmi and no 12v trigger, but at 2k who's whining?

I am about to make a decision (in the next two weeks). If you make the purchase, please post your results. Cheers.

What do you think of TrueDD? Over dd, dts, es, ex?

I have no hdmi to my 5803, but quite frankly, I'm happy with those formats. I have read that TrueDD is a big step forward. Please post when you have some experience. Cheers.

Hey John,

I like and do hear a difference with the TrueHD over the DD and DD+. It seems much more detailed when I switch back and forth between the two tracks. At this point I don't have a source that will transmit bitstream to have the processor do the decoding. My A2 is sending the decoded TrueHD as LPCM so the words TrueHD don't show up on the display. I am still working out the kinks and want to rerun the Audessey software again.
