well received my behringer ep2500 and had to just test out my diy sub jl13w1
even though its not painted yet.

so while i was playing the sub i heard a pop sound it only happened once.
i may have turned it up too much but not sure. It still plays fine and sounds good just wondering what caused that noise.
After i heard the sound I realized i did forget to put in the 20hz high pass filter not sure if that had something to do with it?

do you think i did any damage?

thanks

As long as you turned it down it should be fine. I would imagine what you were hearing was the speaker bottoming out. It could have been that the 20hz hi pass wasn't in or you could of been pushing to much power(which I doubt with the JL speaker) Just keep it at a normal volume and it should be fine.

thanks

I notice there are a few threads that say to keep the low cut filter off on the amp why is that?

also i noticed that when i was using the amp earlier i had the low cut filter on set at 50hz, so does that mean it was filtering out everything below 50hz.
