Again, hipnotic, you missed my point.

I just used the Acura-Honda analogy as an example. It could have been a BMW, a Porsche, hell even a Corvette. The car is not the issue. my point was, a $90,000 vehicle is nicer than a $30,000 one. Maybe you would want to put $50,000 into a $30,000 car, which is just plain retarded. A pimped out Civic is a Civic no matter how you look at it. i laugh at these guys who put more into what they paid for the car and then when they go to sell it, lose thousands. Again, anyone over 30 who drives a pimped out car looks ridiculous. Women think you must be compensating for other deffeciencies. Speed is not the issue. You could buy a POS Dodge or a Mustang and be like every other redneck but your car can go really really fast. So what.

The point is a speaker that costs 3 X what another does should blow it away as the materials it is made with are that much better.
Im sorry that you think because you pay MORE for something it is better. That is not always the case. And your whole thing about anyone over 30 is from your perspective:rolleyes:and thanks for the tips of how women look at men over 30 with a tricked out ride:rolleyes:

And bose speakers cost like 3x as much as lot of other speaker stuff. Does that mean it will blow away half the items that cost less? No.

What hes saying is this. A $20,000 car + $30,000 in acc. =/ (does not equal) a $50,000 car. Its actually less. When you start cutting, modding, and adding stupid, tacky things to cars, they depreciate in value, ALOT. It doesn't matter what the car is, if you add non-stock parts, the value of the parts will not be added to the cars total value.

I know that. I never said it would add up to the value. I said that performance wise you can make it better for less.

Hardly. Unless you dump ALOT of money into a car, it will not gain that much performance.

Putting on a fart pipe will give you 1-3 Hp. Doing a FULL exhaust system with give you 10-20hp(and if the exhaust system is made from stainless steal, it will weight more).

The only add-on that will give you big performance, is nitrous, and you will kill your engine if it is not properly setup/able to handle it. Again, it's easier to buy a sports car, then to make one. Plus, it will have a warranty.
