As some may know i recently bought a pair of soundstage speakers, while most have never heard of them i think they sound great for $400. I am now looking for a second set of floor standings. Polk TSI500 and JBL ES80BK are the ones at my local store im my price range. which do you think is better quality. Also i am against subwoofers so i like to have bass im my floorstanding speakers because my main use is music and i have never heard a sub that could keep up with my music. So which would have good bass. For some reason they store does not have these hooked up to a good system that can power the speakers so i told them they had to change that so i could hear them before i buy a pair and they said it well take a time to set it up. So i thought i would ask the experts here while i wait.

Sounds like your local store is a Visions...I believe they are only store that carries the Soundstage speakers. I have the Soundstage 5.1 series towers(bought them at Visions) and I agree they sound fantastic. I was told, while auditioning the speakers, that they are in fact made by JBL and are the equivalent to the ES80. If you are happy with the Soundstage speakers that you have, I would recommend that you opt for those or the JBL's to maintain timbre match. Good luck!
