Polk csi25 or csi3?

Once again I thought I had everything planned out and a good deal comes up. I was set on getting the csi3 to go along with my r50 fronts and bic h-100 subwoofer but then stumbled upon a new csi25 for half the price. Ive tried to find some reviews but they are limited and I was just wondering how the csi25 would stack up against the csi3 and if it would be worth getting this now and saving some green. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Just a thought...
bigger is always better... I always try to shoot for the biggest of anything that my money can buy... In the end, I'm always happier that I went bigger..

Just my personal opinion for my recent HT setup I chose to go with a center that was set to match well with my fronts. I guess it really depends on how much movies you will watch but a good deal is a good deal. However if you buy a center that is in a better "class" whatever that may mean to you, than your fronts, then I don't see the point.

What I'm trying to get at is that you have to weigh the benefits. See if you can audition the speakers before making a decision. If you find that the CS3 sounds better with your setup and you can justify it, great. If not then like I said, a good deal is a good deal. =)

I comletely agree with both of your comments. As far as auditioning the speakers none of the stores around here have the r50's or the csi25. I have heard the csi3 with a set of r300's so I have something to try and base this on. I might try to talk him down on the csi25 and maybe try it out then no harm if it doesnt work ill just have a back up.

The CSi25 is a perfect match for the R series speakers, I've not heard the csi3, but if it uses 6.5" mid/woofers then I would get it, as the csi25 only uses 5.25" mid drivers. If possible, get both and return the one you don't like.

I have the CSi3 with R50s and I think they match quite well. The Center channel was my pick for putting the money into. I also plan on upgrading the left and right to RTi8s and moving the R50s to the rear so it made sense for me.

I was goin to get some rti8's for the front too and move my r50's but now I think I'm gonna save some cash and just get some r30's for my rear speakers and have a budget system and start savin up for the next round of upgraditis.

I started out moving for a Cerwin Vega system, to the Polks since outpost.com had them dirt cheap, I had the R30's up front, with a CS1 center and R15 surround and surround back, then upgraded to the CS2 center, then got a Velodyne sub. I then got an SVS Sub, and sold off the Polks for the Def Techs I have now since I got a great deal on all of them... I've also upgraded receivers a few times, and now I'm in the process of saving up for a new larger tv... audioholicism is a vicious cycle.
