Sorry,

I, more then a shadow of a doubt, have a literacy disease. Never saw a doctor, but sometimes, I'm just worthless with words. I edited it, should make sence now....hehe jacket :)

I love it when I'm absolutely sure I've double-checked my posts, only to find out later something was amiss.

I love my Polks too! :D

I got my RTi 8's for $92 a piece openbox at my store.

The guy took them home and opened them up, realizing some dope had given him a black and a cherry one, so he brought them back!

So now I have a black and a cherry one, but they sound the same so it matters little to me, especially for that price. :D

I love my bass, and love my Polks. They are the most even keeled speakers I've demo'd to date. What's nice is you can tweak the heck out of them, and they stay true to form. Not artificially bright, or flat. They do require gobs of power, but if you're willing to drive them, they'll put a big smile on your face day after day.

A 10" Design Acoustics PS-SW passive, ported sub that rattles every wall in the house (I use it in my lower level audio system). It's made by Audio-Technica (remember the stylus company). Old school.

Design Acoustics - PS-SW:
Freq. Response: 30-130Hz
Driver: 10" Long-Throw, Dual Voice coil, with carbon fiber impregnated cone.
Sensitivity: 90dB 1 watt/1 meter
Impedance: 6 ohms
Recommended Amp Power: 15-200 RMS
Max SPL: 107 dB
Dimensions: 16 1/4 (w) x 22 (h) x 11 (d)
Weight: 38lbs.

They're great for music, but don't get low enough for most HT. This guy has two of them. They are known for their "kick drum" bass. Transient, hard, chest pounding bass.

I kind of regret selling my Polks. They gave me several years of listening enjoyment. I was in a bit of a pinch and had planned on upgrading my system sooner rather than later. That was over a year ago and Im still out shopping for a new system.:(
