polk audio speaker questions

I am wondering if anyone has any experience with Polk Audio, specifically their entry level TSi line. I am thinking of getting a 5.1 system with 4 TSi 200 bookshelf speakers (Towers are out of the question) and a CS 20 center channel. I have an SB12-Plus subwoofer (I have very tight restrictions on the size of speakers I can get), and a Yamaha RX-V1800 receiver. I live in Okinawa Japan and there are extremely tight weight and size restrictions and very few companies ship to my address this is why I am considering these speakers. So based on teh fact that I do not have much choise in the matter, do you guys think that these speakers perform well? I pretty much equally do HT, Music and Games. Thanks for your help.

I have been a Polk owner for 18 years, I think you will do very well & enjoy the sound from those speakers.

I would think you could find something locally there in Okinawa instead of ordering some speakers made in china. Have you checked locally?

WTF cares that they are made in China? Practically everything is made in China! It's called the Global Economy!

They were designed and created in Baltimore MD. That's good enough.

Since you're worried about performance, I think you should shop around locally so that you can audition them before the purchase.

I've never been to Okinawa but with Japan kind of being the electronics capital of the world, it seems you should have a lot of choices there and not have to worry about shipping damage which is fairly common when shipping speakers.
