After attempting to throw the book at the sandwich thrower and having it bounce off after failing to indict him, the Trump administration has now charged him with a misdemeanor:
>>>After a grand jury failed to return a felony indictment against the Washington, DC, man accused of throwing a sub-style sandwich at a law enforcement officer in the first days of Trump’s federal takeover of the city, federal prosecutors on Thursday
filed a lesser misdemeanor charge. . . .
Dunn, prosecutors have alleged, threw a sub-style sandwich at a Customs and Border Protection officer one evening in early August, calling them “fascists” and yelling and cursing at the officers gathered.<<<
The double standard is mind-boggling.
>>>On his first day in office, President Donald Trump
granted clemency to
every person charged or convicted for their role in the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol, even those
convicted of violently assaulting police officers.
. . . Peter Schwartz had a "jaw-dropping criminal history of 38 prior convictions going back to 1991" when he assaulted police officers with pepper spray on Jan. 6, according to
federal prosecutors.<<<
