Please Recommend Towers for me to Audition

Hi,
I'm new to this site and have found the threads/stickies/shootouts very informative. I a currently on a quest to buy a pair of tower speakers for my music listening setup.

I have a few criteria's I am trying to meet, if you know of a speaker that meets my criteria, please let me know so I can audition/take a look at. My criteria's are as follows.

1) Under $1000 for the pair
2) Minimum height of 40" (due to listening height)
3) Wood Veneer Cabinet (preferably rosewood/rosenut)

So far I have only found a few.

a) Paradigm Monitor 9 ( 11/ studio 60? I'm not sure on the price)
b) EMP TEK E55Ti
c) AV123 X-Statiks

Please chime in with more choices for me to try/audition. Thanks in advance.

Monitor Audio - RX6, or the previous version RS6. Real veneer in the finishes you desire, good sound, quality made. They list out at about $1,250 a pair, but used ones are available for less.

I would check out Aperion as well. They have a 30 day money back guarantee and free shipping both ways. They don't offer rosewood but they do have a wood grain veneer.

Be careful with AV123. I'm not sure where the company actually stands with customer service and reliability. There is a lot of chatter about business conduct. They've made some fantastic products in the past. There is no question about that. Just, buyer beware.

I have their ELT mini monitors and x-sub... I am wary about their business as well. I saw a few people selling X-Statiks for half their price so I added that on my list.

If you can bust your budget by $100 and have a decent amp, give these F12's an audition. They are nicely designed boxes.
