I was seriously considering the MMG's but I am afraid my dog might chew on them because they are so thin.

I am interested in going ahead and following your guidelines:
1) a Marantz SR5004 Receiver that you mentioned. Somebody else also mentioned a yamahaa RXV 1900. Would you still go with Marantz?
2) Is there a ipod dock that I can buy to go with the receiver?
3) Subwoofer: you suggested that I get a HSU STF-2 for $349. I found it in amazon for $250. can you check to see if it's the same one?

4) out of the bookshelves speakers, you listed, which one is your most favorite? (can i just put them on the floor or do i need to have a mount?
5) How hard is the installation on setting up the receiver, bookshelves, and subwoofer? Is it just plugging or does it require advance stereo skills?
6) should I wait until a sale go off to pull the trigger or are these prices pretty much set?
