Aaaaahhh... Yes, caliper. I used to know that word long time ago. It's Schubler here or "pomična mjerka" in standard Croatian, but when you type Schubler into Aliexpress you get all sorts of dildos!! Go figure.

You'd pronounce that as "poh-meech-nah". It means that a noun of female gramatical gender is marked as "sliding" or "moveable" - mjerka (myar-kah) is a measuring instrument, so a sliding measuring instrument. And I guess Schubler is a Jerry who had something to do with its design. I don't know for sure.
