Please Help me with a good home theatre within my budget

Hello everyone,

I am here to seek help from all you genius people. I am planning to buy myself a new Home Theatre. My music/movie priority would be 30/70. I have a few restrictions though. The HT is meant to be for my bedroom as I do not have a separate spare room for it. I have a 43 inch Samsung 3D TV and a Playstation 3 to go with it. My budget does not allow me to go over Rs 50,000. Could you please something amazing within my budget..?? Should I go in for a HTiB Package..?? I was thinking of the Onkyo HTS 5400. Or can I build my Home Theatre in that price range.. Please help people..

If you don't get many answers, you might want to consider that none of us kn0w where you are or what "Rs 50,000" means. I certainly don't.

FWIW. most of us are from the US, Canada, and the rest of the world, NTTAWWT.

Is that 50000 rupees? That's about 1000 USD. Just to clarify, you're looking to get speakers and a receiver, correct?

It will be impossible to give you any advice without knowing brands locally available to you and their prices..
For example Onkyo HTIB you mentioned cost in US under $300

Which I not recommend buying it for $1000

stuff is a hell lot cheap in US if thats the case.. The Onkyo HTS 5400 is around INR 52,000 here in India.. Sad existence..
