My listening position is about 11 ft. from the speakers. Unfortunately, I have wall to wall furniture, the length of the front wall is 9ft where the speakers are. I have a bookshelf, a file cabinet which functions as a entertainment center

holds the dvd player,amp,etc.. and a small student desk. so it basically fills up the wall.
I did set up the intermezzo 2.6 in my front room, there were about 7 ft. apart and my listen position is about 10ft. away. the sound was still in your face. maybe my rooms are just too small?
Now I'm just curious, if I mount the bookshelf speakers, ideally they should be ear/eye level right? but in my case they would have to be up higher, more like 4.5ft and tilt down. would that sound strange with the speakers being so high? the reason it needs to be highed is I have to clear the desk hutch, it's a flimsy student desk so it would not support the weight.
I'm going play with the positioning some more before I jump the gun and get the energy's. So the Veritis is not recommended for a tube amp? the rc-10's are small enough to wall mount. the intermezzo 2.6's are quite heavy.
okay, thanks again!
