The ML is a better sub, but it’s not likely that you can get it fixed for $100.

3yr warranty on logan. Iirc logan quoted me $120 for a new amp (not sure what the 700 would cost) but I ended up being under warranty so it was free.

Thank you both for your reply. Is the ts8 a decent enough sub

Couldn't find a ML Dynamo "7", is it the 700? The TS8, if so, won't dig as deep (spec'd down to 35hz without parameters whereas the Dynamo 700 is spec'd down to 24hz, +/- 3dB). Probably would work for music better than movies (generally speaking as to which has lower content).

Welcome to AH

All depends what you want out of your sub. If you want a good punch from movies, I would say a much better sub may be in order: SVS, Hsu, or some others well respected online subs.

If you can't afford at present to get one of those new SVS, HSU or other good performing sub, wouldn't it be possible for you to find a local dependable repair shop which could check your sub and give you an estimate of cost of repair. Some shops deduct the cost of the estimate from the total cost when you have the item repaired.
Maybe the problem is a minor one that wouldn't cost much to fix ?
