Playstation 3 Price and availablity

One big thing is missing on the PS3 also, the ability to have a vast online community. Xbox live is the best thing the 360 has going for it in my opinion.

I think if Sony really wants to be competitive, they need to do something to improve the online PS community.

The $100 for an HD-DVD addon drive is amazing. I will buy it if it is able to show the movies in 1080p. However, I will probably not mess with HD-DVD or BD until they are recorded in full 1080p. My Westy 42" demands 1080p material and I am all too happy to agree with it.

I stll think Sony priced themselves out on this machine. People would rather have the new cool thing (Xbox 360) at a cheaper retail price, and then pay more for add ons. The system with the best games always sells more, but it wont in this case because the PS3 is far too expensive. All the casual gamers that just play Madden wont shell out $599, and I dont blame them. But, people have to understand that most of your $599 is going to the new technologies like the HDMI version and the Blu-ray player. The new PS3 is going to be, by far, one of the greatest electronic price deals of all time. For me this system is a dream, the best games and a Blu-ray player. Now if only I can find a place to reserve one...
