hi, i just got my marantz 12VPS4 PROJECTOR. currently running with my pioneer 969 player with HDMI VER. 1.0 THROUGH 12 metre HDMI copper cable.
i am thinking of upgrading my DVD player with either the marantz DV9600 or the DENON DVD 5910. The Marantz 9600 come with HDMI VER. 1.1 , any good compare to 1.0 ?
Between the 2 , which will best support my S4 PROJECTOR for superior
image ? comments from anyone with the above components will be very
much appreciated.
i found that many scene the image look dark that i need to increase the
brightness of the projector +5 (theatre mode), noise reduction +20, any comment from marantz p.j owner?
should i wait for blu-ray or go ahead with a better DVD player?

Not familiar with that projector or its light output after calibration but it seems that it just doesn't have the light output. What is the screen gain and size? Distance it is from the screen? Is it ISF calibrated? I doubt it is the DVD player. But that 12m cable may be an issue as well? What is the wire ga in that cable?

My Screen Is Australia Herma Matte White 110' With Gain1.1
Projecting From Distance Of 15 Feet.

Prior To Buying The Hdmi Cable,i Have Check With Dealer That 12 M Will Not Be An Issue, According To Him, It Can Go Up To 15m Without Degrade.
Overall The Color Look Great & Cleaner As Compare To My Previous Inforcus 4805, I Am Esp Impressed By The Red & Black Reproduction But Images Sometime Look A Bit Dark That Now I Have Increased The Brightness & Contrast Setting .

Well, I would strongly recommend a good projector calibration and then leaving it alone. The current projectors are still suffering from contrast capability.
