Ok Yaw'll, need a little help with this one.

This TV it one that does not included a tuner, hence it does not have a Coax input. So basically, i am trying to get 2 cable signals for PIP.

I have a HDTV box from the cable company that goes into the plasma as my main picture using component cables. Golden there. But the issue is that i used a cable splitter to get another "basic" cable line to run for the picture in picture, but the TV does not have a Coax input. Basically, i need the reverse of an RF modulator - or a Demodulator. I have spent some time on threads as other people have had the question and am still having issues. I have S-video input and RCA video input available, but i also have to think about sound. I don't need the latest and greatest as i wont watch PIP except for football sunday. I have tried using a VCR as the middle man by connecting the coax from the splitter to the VCR and the using the RCA Video out from the vcr to plug into the TV. Works great if i was going to watch a VHS movie, but as soon as i change the output on the VCR to TV, it sends the signal on the COAX output of the VCR, not the video out. So it does not convert the signal from Coax to the RCA video on the internals of the VCR. I went so far to try a bunch of different VCRs and DVD recorders - same issue - cable output is sent via COax on all the units even though they have S video and RCA video outputs.

Anyone have a workaround to convert Coax to RCA or S-video. Remember that my TV has no tuner so i would need some sort of middle man to play tuner so i can change the channel.

HELP!!

I have the panny 50phd7uy, with the exact same issue. Right now, PIP is useless without a 2nd signal. I'm not sure who your cable provider is, but I have Comcast cable, and one option I am considering is upgrading from the standard HDTV STB to the Dual-tuner DVR. I know Comcast charges $9.95/month for the DVR, but I am already paying $5.00/month for the HDTV box, and I think that might come off of the bill, so the incremental charge would be just $4.95/month (I need to confirm that). Then, not only would you have PIP, but all of the other features of the DVR as well.

You reall only have two options.
1. Get another cable box
2. Get a tuner card for the TV (if you can).

You can't unmodulate (is that the correct term?) a broadband cable signal...you need something that can tune one channel of the many coming in on the coax.
