Hello audioholics,

I just bought a Pioneer VSX-1020 and it is all setup I like it but I have a problem with it. I stream video via netflix to my samsung BD1600 and when on the buffering screen the reciever will shut off the video to the TV. I either have to change inputs and then change them back or do a power cycle the unit. This only happens during the buffering, and the video doesn't return when the movie begins to play. I still have audio when the movie begins and when I hook the dvd player directly to the TV it doesn't do it. I am sure it is going in to some sort of protection mode for the TV. I haven't checked to see if this is only an HDMI thing or not but I really don't want to step down to componet cables just to get rid of this problem, I would rather return the unit. Is there anyway to change the settings inside of the unit to wait a little longer before shutting down the video output?

Any thoughts would be helpfull, I also have submitted something to pioneer I will post the response if I get one.

You would be surprised;) If you cant hard wire, run an analog video connection and optical for your streaming needs to eliminate the HDMI issue.
