I responded to you other thread but here if you have decided on the Wharfedale you may want to go with something more powerful. That being said, the 1018 can also do the job for a room of this size. It is actually 5 lbs heavier than the Onkyo but weight is only one factor. The Onkyo 607 does seem to have a stronger power supply.
Hi Peng,
How are you?
I'm a bit confuse with srk16 (the OP). He has two threads going on, and trying to get different views on the same receivers???
But in his other thread, he was referring to the Pioneer VSX-1019AH-K.
It seem quite clear now that few people are agreeing on the Onkyo TX-SR607.
But somehow, srk16 is not totally convinced yet.
Anyway, just want to say Hi.
* By the way, the newer Pioneer VSX-1019AH-K weights only 19.185 lbs, compared to the Onkyo TX-SR607, which weights 23.810 lbs.
I guess Pioneer lost some weight on that model, compared to last year VSX-1018AH-K,
which weights 29.063 lbs. That's a total lost of 9.878 pounds (almost 10)! And some people seem to not mind!!! Oh well, loosing weight has some advantage for some people. But for amps? Hmmm... HDMI turbulance, USB port, I guess.
Cheers,
Bob
