Pioneer VSX-03TXH versus the iPod

One of the main reasons that I bought the VSX-03TXH was to run my two completely stuffed 160GB iPods through them... as well as the wife's. This is not possible currently, at least for the two iPods tried.

Now I know that there is a LOT posted on these issues, but I haven't been able to find a thread that gathers the info together, and sifting through the 80+ pages of the Official Owners thread on AVS is frustrating to say the least.

So this thread serves two purposes:

A. Hopefully gets my iPod working with the VSX-03TXH.
B. Allows other owners to share/learn about these issues.

Excellent start up to help people with iPods.

This is great Matty.

I wish that I can hep, but iPod is certainly not my forte.
Hopefully here at Audioholics, some members will have some informative knowledge. And I will learn something myself about an unknown territory.

Bob

Note: By the way, I do understand your frustration at AVS.

Matty, I just bought the same receiver this week and was able to hook up my 120GB Ipod Classic without any problems. Does the receiver give you any kind of error message?

No, my wife's gives the I3 error, which I'll try to deal with. My main iPod gets a "no device found" message. I also have an odd bit of software on it, Numark's Librarian - for some DJ equipment that I use with it. I haven't tried one of my other classic's with it yet, but I will this evening when I go by the new place (where the reciever is residing until the move is over).
