Pioneer Receiver question

Just got new Pioneer vsx-820-k and had a question. If I connect my PS3 (HDMI), Xbox 360 and DVD (component), will the HDMI out transmit the signal for all sources or just the HDMIs? I am trying to avoid connecting all these to my TV, like I had on my old projection TV and receiver.

Sorry is this is a dumb question...this is all new to me.

Page 22 of the manual....the 820 does not upconvert analog component to digital HDMI. It mentions whatever cable is used to input the source, is required to output it as well.

I believe you would need the 920 model for upconversion of the sources.

If you haven't openned it yet there won't be a restocking fee for most places (Best Buy namely charges a 15% restocking fee). As we know that the VSX-820 does not have this feature it would be unnecessary to open the box if you need the upconversion feature.

I don't think that is enough of a reason for me to justify dropping another $100. I will keep this one and run HDMI and the components to the TV.

Let me know your impressions of the 820. I am looking to purchase one this week.

Regarding upscaling, I assume if you have an DVD player with built in upscaling, it passes through HDMI through the receiver and to the TV correct?

I do have a Wii but am not too concerned about this upconverting (as I know the 820 won't do). Want to make sure thought my upconverting DVD player will pass the signal.

My DVD does have built in upscaling and yes...it did pass threw the receiver and to the TV. Have not had a lot of time to play with it yet...but am impress with it so far. I am about to order the Bluetooth adapter (AS-BT100) to stream from my iPod Touch.

Can't get the receiver to display the Xbox 360. I have the 360 to the receiver with the component and fiber optic for sound...but I can't seem to get it to display on the TV. Receiver to TV is HDMI and component. I switched the TV inputs to the component 1 and 2...double and triple checked all connections. I am lost.
