I have a Pioneer Receiver in my bedroom. I set up the mcacc and have never seen what you are describing.

Jesse, are you listening to a DTS-HD or DTS-Express soundtrack with the Home THX setting on? If so, the MCACC is disabled for that.

i don't know, i'm learning this stuff. i tried to find TRUE HD during setup, couldn't find it. and honestly, i don't know the difference between all the different formats (codecs ?).
if it matters, i don't yet have the "rear" speakers operating.

on a side note. i found that i had my sub set wrong, and corrected it. for this movie, it sounded pretty good. though this movie didn't have a ton of LFE. i say this, because, i am looking for "my" DIY dual sub solution. i love the kappa build, but even 1 of those is 4 times what i could use, and the box is too big. so why put the effort to it. i asked about a smaller box, in that thread. but it seems i have broken some rule, as no one replies.
i digress

there is a row of red led's, just above the largish blue light right in the middle of the unit.
one of them says mcacc.

i am very happy with this unit. though it doesn't have enough power for music.

According to the site linked here, the audio track on that blu-ray is DTS-HD. So, I think it's a good bet that's why your MCACC light was turning off.

Has it done it on other movies?

if it matters, i don't yet have the "rear" speakers operating.
Is that because you just don't have any hooked up, or are you wanting help in getting them to work?

that is the first movie i watched on it.

i have to run wires(oh, the joy :( ) and mount the rears. my current surrounds are going to the rear. and my current mains are going for the surrounds. that is, until i change them for god only knows what.
