Just wondered if anyone has a pair of these and if so do you like them?

I just pickd up a pair in mint cond. for FREE, i hooked them up and they sound really good i was suprised.

The guy i got these from said that he got some BOSE and did'nt need these anymore, well after hooking these up i know that the POS BOSE that he got do not even come close to these.
Just thought i would check out if anyone eles has these speakers.

I used to have them between 1978-1983 and they were OK. I then changed from amp and speakers so it's difficult to make a comparison. Anyway for free, you made a good deal.

The specs can be found on en.wikipedia.org

I took them for my garage and they will work fine for that, i was supprised on how good they sounded though.

I think he will be sorry for swapping them out for Bose though, if he is used to listing to these but its good for me!

It appears a big fuss was made about these speakers back in the day. They can handle a crap ton of power as well. Those speakers where intended to be paired with the Pioneer SX-1980 receiver, which was the biggest baddest receiver around at the time, 78 pounds of killing fury!:D
