The power went out in my house last night for a few seconds and now my Pioneer VSX-9100 TX receiver won't power on.
I've unplugged the receiver and plugged it back into a power outlet that I know works and it still won't power on.

If you are lucky the surge has just blown the line fuse. Open it up and see if the fuse is blown. If it is replace the fuse with one of identical value once.

If it has not blown the fuse or the fuse blows right away, then your receiver has suffered severe, and likely terminal damage.

This is why I continuously recommend whole house surge protection and driving gear that uses microprocessors from a smart UPS.
