Tha amp or sub?

If it's the amp, it is difficult to say. My speakers sound really good and detailed. Before the amp it seemed like they "ran out of steam" at high volume. Here is a little, amature review I did on my amp. http://forums.audioholics.com/forums/showthread.php?t=35201

I just noticed which sub you have. Does it give you a cleaner sound?

My bad Yea I meant the amp.

My seating position is further than the mcacc mic can reach. What did you all that have this same issue do when you calibrated

Holy cow, how far is your listening position? I have never measured the cable on my mic but I would guess it to be 20 feet long.

ha ha naw not 20 feet. Maybe my memory is incorrect but I dont think my cord is that long. I will check again tonight.

Y'all might be a little surprised by our bench test results... I'll try to get the review out next week.

Does anyone else think the remote is among the worst in the industry? It's like someone threw up buttons all over it. Seriously, a "Shift" function...? There are more colors on it than my Christmas tree... lol.

I was wondering if you have a better idea when this review will be posted? I'm very interested in the 94. I have a lot of faith in your reviews so I'd like to hear what you guys think of the 94 before making my final decision.

I don't suppose you'd be willing to elaborate a little on the 'surprised' comment regarding the bench tests? A simple 'good', 'average' or 'poor' would hold me over until the review is up.

Hi i just wanted to let anyone that might be interested in wanting to know what temp these recivers run at, that i was really playing my reciver hard this weekend and the temp never even seemed like it got any higher (stayed just warm), i didnt take the temp or anything to give a degree# but i was impressed with it. I like this more and more the longer i have it, my Onkyo when i was just playing music low or watching a movie it would be twice as hot as this. Just thought i would let everyone know.

Does VSX 92 and 94 have auto multiple channel audio calibration circuitary? If so, how does work and is it easy set up? I would like to consider one of these model and what is their differences between the 92 and 94? Why do you choose the 94 instead of the 92 Thanks,

They are capable of setting up and saving different MCACC equalization routines, if that's what you mean. You can set up different ones for different sources, as an example, and recall them as needed. It is a feature I didn't need and don't use so I can't tell you how complicated it is. The manual describes the procedure and you can download the manual from the Pioneer site.

The main difference between the two is that the 94 has the ability to connect to a network. There are a few minor feature differences but that is the main one. I have no use for network connectivity so I bought the 92.

I have the 92 and I'm loving it. Still trying to figure out the best sound set up though. Not sure if Direct Vs Advance surround Vs THX sounds any diff. I need to get my hands on one of those retail DVD demos disc that might help
