Pioneer Elite BDP-05FD

Hey Guys,

As the title of my post says I have opted to buy a Pioneer Elite BDP-05FD. I got it from the same place I purchased by 5020 Kuro. I am hoping that buy sticking with the same brand that I would not have any unforeseen issues. Yes I know that some of you may say it is "brand loyalty" and that may be true, but if it aint broken why fix it.

Anyway is there anything I should know about the BDP-05FD that you guys have found useful? What gripes or little secrets have you uncovered?

I will be picking it up in about a hour or so.

Ok Guys,

I got the player; I went on AVS and read a ton load of information about this BRP. I had to update to the latest 1.21 firmware which went flawlessly.

This player really rocks, the picture quality is outstanding not to mention SQ, I am truly impressed. I must admit though that it take longer to load than a DVD player, but that is not a biggie for me. Also it is much larger than I had expected it is almost the size on my Marantz receiver.

Overall though I am enjoying my player and I think that is all that matters
