Correct, ^^. What makes Pioneer's KRP-500M a better choice is the following:
1. KRP-500M are actually Elite Signature Series for Europe and Asia and were adopted by Pioneer USA near the end of their USA production.
2. Advantages are:
a) Pure mode for paring with Blu-ray
b) Elite color filtering and non-glare coating
c) About 2" thinner and draws less current than the 5020FD
Here's two more not well known advantages. Pioneer used their 10 generation glass in the KRP-500Ms and the PDP-5020Fd has the 9 generation glass.
KRP-500Ms can be upgraded to enable the ISFccc day/night modes for the best possible calibration. The upgrade patch can be purchsed at
www.controlcal.com . The upgrade patch may void the warranty so it's buyer beware on this very cool upgrade.
All Pioneer Kuro models are very limited in supply, but most remaining dealers offer them with Pioneer's table top pedestal stand and some have the original speakers available.
Seems like the best remaining authorized dealers with inventory are:

www.beachcamera.com
www.valueelectronics.com
