I have the opportunity to get a Pinnacle Speaker set at a pretty good price.
The package includes:

  • One MB 3000 center channel with dual 3" woofers and 1" tweeter
  • Four MB2000 satellite speakers each w/ a 3" woofer & 1" tweeter

Specs for woofs and tweets:
  • Woofers feature polymer cone with butyl surround
  • Tweeters are lliquid-colled mylar
  • 2.5" voice coils

I haven't heard much feedback about Pinnacle, so I'm not aware of there are a decent brand or not. Anyone have any input on these? Thanks in advance!

I used a pair of Pinnacle Decibel 98's for several years as my mains. I really like them, thought they performed very good. They had dual 8" woofers, and were fairly big. I picked them up used at a thrift store for a really good price. Bought on instinct, not knowing much about the brand. There doesn't seem to be a whole lot of info on them. I emailed the company, and they sent me a spec sheet, seems to be of quality built, 10 yr warranty, made in the USA. I only recently replaced them with JBL S 312's to go with my JBL S-Center and to complete my all JBL sound field. There sitting in front of me now in my office all lonely. There has been several favorable comments on them. Personally I think you'll like them. Have you got to audition them? If so, and you liked them, then go for it.

First of all what is your price range, and how good do you want your speakers to be. I used to have a pair of pinnacle floor speakers for about 2 days. I was not at all happy with them. Other people seem to have had good experience's with them but they did not suit my taste at all.

Hey, if you like them that really is ALL that matters. Hopefully, you have auditioned them???? If not, then you really need to. In fact, audition as many as you can so as to find that "one" that will fit your tastes. Of course, we all have only so much money to work with and as such budget constraints may eliminate some of your choices. If you really think about it , who really knows better than YOU what will sound the best......right? Hope this helps and as always good luck in your decision.

Cheers,

Phil

No offense, but I would say those are features not specs :)

They make nice speakers. The Black Diamonds have been very well reviewed from many palces. I have no experience with those directly.
