Phoenix Gold Interconnects

I've been using Phoenix Gold interconnects on my system with very good results.

They seem to offer all the 'whiz-bang' technology that some pay big bucks for at a very reasonable price, in fact, cheaper than the equivalent length interconnects from Blue Jeans. For example their highest level 1 meter 'Platinum' audio interconnects which featured linear this and geometricly arranged that with super duper shielding is only $24 bucks at Amazon and qualifies for their free shipping deal, the next level down which I've been using is only $12 and seems to be doing a great job. The build quality is first rate and they look, feel, and perform like a quality cable all the way.

Parts Express also sell them for a few bucks more, though you've got to pay shipping, but have the option of their 45 day return policy.

I haven't seen any discussion about these, and my search of the forums turned up nada, so I wanted to mention what seems to be a hidden (in plain sight) value.

Most cables are over hyped, period. What you have, Phoenix Gold is fine, not give it another thought.:D
Not much to review in cables except how well it is made if you are into terrorizing your cables:D

Yep, that's what I'm saying here. I've got a pretty good two channel/CD based system- Rotel 1072 CD into Parasound P3 pre to a Parasound Halo A21 amp to Thiel CS2.2 speakers. I did go Blue Jeans for the XLR interconnects between the pre and amp, but a pair of twelve buck Phoenix Gold interconnects are carrying the signal from the CD to the pre.

Considering the sound is bordering on what I consider 'magic', that is, almost no cues that I'm listening to speakers at all when playing well recorded CD's (Diana Krall Live in Paris, for example), obviously the 'cheap' interconnect isn't hurting things a bit. At about half the cost of the Blue Jeans Belden interconnect from Amazon, well worth checking out.

They are very solidly made and finished, in fact doen't either look nor feel like 'cheap' gear at all.

Back during my car audio days, I was a huge fan of PG. I would not use anything else in my car.

Touche'

Clumsy sentence construction from me. I meant that the Phoenix gold is available from Amazon. Blue Jeans is available from Blue Jeans. I bought my XLR interconnects from them and they also are also an excellent supplier.

I used PG in my car audio days as well. I had 0 gauge wire going from my engine bay threw the underside of my jeep grand cherokee and up into the back seat.
Lets just say I ran my power cable about 6 inches from the exhaust and in some places it touched.. I ran my system like that for 2 years no problem the jacket on the cable was so thick that the parts where it had melted onto the exhuast it still was sheilded. So they do make good cables = P.
