I've decided on the rx-v2500 from etronics for $675 BUT
there's no manufacturer's warranty with it because they are not an authorized Yamaha dlr. yeah I aware of the htr/rx-v lines and how they're are sold.
my question regards the Philips extended warranty. Has anyone bought one of these for a piece of gear that was purchased without a manufacturer's warranty? The philips warranty sounds good in every respect but I can't find anywhere where it says it is anything BUT an EXTENDED warranty that kicks in when the manufaturer's Warranty ends. what if your purchase never had a warranty?? I've tried calling philips but the line has been busy.
