I read in this forum that the 9520 is the new model of the 9509.
My 9509 has the dirty screen syndrome and vertical lines :( and today the tech. from the shop we bought it from saw it and said they would change it. :)
But the 9509 is no longer in stock. On the Philips site the 9520 is not listed? Plus I've seen the 9520 on sale on-line for up to 300 Euro less than the 9509! Why would that be?
The tech said as we were still paying for the 9509 (we've had it a month) by credit card installments we had to choose a TV (any make and model) that was the same or higher in price!
Now what should I do?
Better the devil you know? OR Take a chance with a different model or make!?
Any ideas?

additional info...

i found information on the philip france site. They had the user manuals.
the 9520 has only 2 scarts and can't find any improvments.
It's 10kg lighter...
there is so far only one store in sweden that has the 9520, if thats correct.
im gonna buy a new tv. either the 9509 or the 9520, but im not sure witch is the best choice.
so far i have not seen any negative feedback on the 9509.
or?

I think I was one of the unlucky ones!
I have a 9520 coming in about 10 days to replace my 9509,as they no longer stock the 9509! And I decided to go with the Philips than change make!
Cross fingers it will be OK!
Thanks for the tip finding the manual!! They kept it well hidden!
