Anyone know anything about Phase Technology speakers? Specs look impressive and I found a pair on craigs for $400... Any advice?
My favorite speaker manufacturer. I would buy them if they are in great shape. If they are the PC-9.1 they MSRP at $2K per pair. Spectacular speaker. That line of PC product (PC stands for Premier Collection) has since been replaced, but is still a phenominal product.
These need powered by a respectable amp, though. No $350 receiver will do them justice. Also, NOT: The 9.1 is a 4ohm speaker so either make sure your amp is 4ohm or you will have to buy one that is.
This speaker is incredible, as are all Phase Technology speakers, IMO. Google Phase Technology PC 9.1 and there are several reviews. Even a member here Jaxxvon (?) did a lengthy review on it. Here are some links...

Look, if you buy these, please be sure to power them properly. They are truly a special speaker and deserve it.
Good luck!
EDIT: Also, these speakers are 100% manufactured in the USA by Phase Technology. Even the voice coils are hand wound at their factory. The drivers are very unique and special to Phase Technology. Youtube MSE Audio group and watch the Phase Tech videos. Ken Hecht, the company's President, designs most of their speakers. His father, Bill, started the company and also invented the soft dome tweeter which they manufacture and sell to many companies. Macintosh used their tweeters in their top tiered Reference models. That's the kind of company Phase Tech is. Top shelf 100%.
