From a health standpoint, it is possible to get all the nutrients one needs with a vegan diet, and it is possible to get all the nutrients one needs with an omnivorous diet. However, the vegan will have this advantage: Animal fats are bad for you, and the vegan won't be taking in any of them. It may be possible while eating an omnivorous diet to take in so little animal fat that it will not noticeably harm one's health, but that doesn't make it a good idea. It is probably also possible to smoke so little tobacco that it won't noticeably harm one's heath, but that doesn't make it a good idea to smoke just a little.Like anything in life moderation is best. Nothing wrong with a little animal protein. The problem is that meat becomes the center of the meal and for some the only part. For me its a little meat and lots of the other stuff.
