I'm going to be picking up a pair of VA Haydn Grands in about a month and I have been reading that my receiver (Pio Elite SC-05) doesn't do so well with 4-ohm loads so I'm looking to pick up a power amp for them. I'm looking at the Peavey PV900 mainly because I can pick it up for about $100 NIB. Any reason I shouldn't do this? Is this amp (fan) too loud for HT use? It will be inside a TV cabinet so some sound buffering is available. I also realize this amp is serious overkill for the speakers (at least based on specs) but for the price I don't think I can really go wrong. Can I? Thanks in advance for the feedback.
