<font color='#000000'>This is not really an audio question, hopefully someone can give me a suggestion on how to fix a minor problem.
I have tried on various occations to connect my computer to my Zenith HDTV's RGB input. I basically plan to use the PC as a juke box and only need the computer screen on the tv for making song selections. At this point everything works.. The computer is connected to my TV via a well shielded RGB (DB-15) cable. I am connecting the digital coax (moderatly priced Monster Digital Coax Cable) out of my integrated soundcard (Asus A7N8X Deluxe MB) directly to my Pioneer Elite RXR.
The problem that I have is whenever both cables are left connected, I have faint horizontal bars rolling across my TV screen on any input analog or Digital. I have tried to isolate the both the video and spdif cable to try to avoid any interference with minimal improvement if any. Even when connecting one cable at a time does not fix the problem. The audio playback is fine without any hum or distortion. The only solution I have found is to disconnect both cables when not in use. As one might guess this becomes quite annoying.
I realize that computers can cause a lot of electrical interference and I am positive that it is the culprit of this annoying problem. I would like to know if there are any gadgets that might help me clean up this problem. (without breaking the bank) I currently use Panamax surge protectors. Any suggestions or miracle cures would be greatly appreciated.
