Today I attached the sub, placed near corner and reconfigured the avr (auto and then small adjustments manually) - what could I say - I don't have anything to compare to, but the difference with or without sub is easily noticeable and very significant.
It's not bone rattling and wall crushing - I do have large living room which is also open to other spaces (32x12) so these effects not possible in this configuration plus living in apartment brings additional limitations, BUT i finally could say this with certain authority - I trusted my mains (TST2) to play the bass - and in AH measurements shown it's possible and I went with sub-less, but adding sub does bring so much more to the table. I'll post few pics soon
So far test with Iron Man and Avatar (both HD/DTS versions) - like I said it's world of different - landing of shuttle in avatar caused my couch to rattle and shake. I'm very pleased and I guarantee you - I'll buy much more potent sub as soon as I have my own, detached house (hopefully soon)
